{ The Likeness of Lúthien;



Third Age 241-1400 }

• Just over 1200 years this verse will happen in a lot of different places for Arwen, while she is growing up. This will involve the several times she can be found in both Imladris with her mother, father, and older twin brothers and in Lothlórien with her grandparents.
• Also known as the Childhood Verse

Third Age, 2510 }

• The worst happens to Arwen’s mother, Celebrían. She is captured by Orcs, tortured and tormented.
• She is rescued by her twin sons, Elrohir and Elladan, and healed by her husband, Elrond. But while she can be healed of her physical ailments, she cannot be healed of the emotional and mental ones, and she leaves her family for The Grey Havens.
• The next year after she sailed over The Great Sea.

Third Age 2951 to 2953 }

• Arwen returns home from Lothlórien, and is first found by a young fosterling of Rivedel, who mistakes her for Lúthien. He falls in love with Arwen instantly on first sight. He is called Estel, renamed by her father, but he is Aragorn II, son of Arathorn II, heir of Isildur, fostered since the age of 2 for his safety.


• He leaves to become one of the Rangers of the North under the name Strider. (From the Third Age 2957 to 2980 he served in the armies of Rohan and Gondor as Thorongil.)

Third Age 2980 }

• They find each other, again, this time in Lothlórien.
• For one season they live together. At midsummer he gave to her the Ring of Barahir, and Arwen pledged her hand to him. He is given permission from Elrond on one harsh condition.


• Also, crosses with AU’s of Verse: A Great & Terrible Beauty and Verse: Beauty & The Beast, where Arwen is captive or wary, but true, ally of Smaug the Golden, usurper and keeper of the Dwarven Halls in The Lonely Mountain.


• Important other dates therein;
• TA 3002, Bilbo moved to Imladris. In TA 3009, Arwen returned there, as well.

{ The War for the Ring;



Third Age 3018 to 3019 }

• Arwen’s choice comes to challenge when all the elves of Middle Earth leave to The Grey Havens to cross the Great Sea, leaving the Middle Earth and ending The Time of the Elves.
• Arwen gives as a gift of peace her place on the last ship across The Great Sea to Frodo Baggins, after the One Ring has been destroyed, and the world has begun to heal. All but smallest and most important of those touched by The Ring leave for Valinor.
• Aragorn is crowned King Elessar and they are wed.

{ The Rule of the Reunited Kingdoms;



Third Age 3019 - Fourth Age 120 }

• The golden reign of the combined kingdoms of Arnor and Gondor. King Aragorn and Queen Arwen traveled it widely — everywhere except The Shire, which while part of The Reunited Kingdom, was given a law that Men would not enter.
• Arwen and Aragorn had one son and heir, Eldarion, and many daughters.

Fourth Age 120-121 }

• King Aragorn has died, and a year later, Arwen dies, as well, upon Cerin Amroth, where they had plighted their troth originally over 200 years earlier.


• Also, crosses an AU with Verse: Aragorn’s Ghost, wherein Aragorn has returned as a ghost, and Verse: In the Light of Aman, where after a long life ruling The Reunited Kingdom Manwë appears and takes Aragorn and Arwen to Valinor.
